FAQs

Difference between Lab Grown Diamond, Moissanite & Natural diamond.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond that has been created in a laboratory, through a process known as chemical vapor deposition or high pressure, high temperature treatments. Lab grown diamonds have roughly the same physical and chemical characteristics as natural diamonds but at a much lower cost. Visually it is hard to detect the difference between a lab grown and natural diamond, however Moissanite compared to a diamond looks slightly different due to the cut and and shine.

Moissanite is a mineral that is often confused with diamonds due to its shimmering appearance and hardness. Moissanite is an increasingly popular gemstone, due to its affordability and the option to choose a larger size for a piece of dead giveaway jewellery. However, it is not the same as a diamond, as its internal characteristics and dispersion (sparkle) are different from those of a diamond, and it is not as hard as a diamond.

Natural diamonds are 100% carbon, mined from the earth, and are the most expensive type of diamond. Natural diamonds come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors and are of higher quality than lab-grown diamonds and moissanite. Natural diamonds are an attractive and durable choice for timeless jewellery.

the ring size be changed?

Yes.

If you are not sure what size to order, we recommend ordering a slightly smaller size. As a general rule, it is easier to go up in size slightly (up to half size) rather than smaller.

Can I bring my own gold or gemstones?

Unfortunately we don't work with supplied materials.

Do you offer remodelling service?

Unfortunately we do not accept remodelling jobs.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do. All orders over $300 have free international shipping. We ship from Melbourne using DHL Express trackable & insured safe door-to-door courier service.

The purchaser must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. The purchaser of an international shipment (any order shipped outside of Australia) may be subject to such import taxes, GST, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the purchaser’s country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be met by the recipient; we have no control over these charges.

How longs does it take to to receive my order?
A custom made piece / consultation / making / shipping will take all together about a month. Sometimes faster if you have a very specific idea right from the beginning. Actual making of the jewellery takes between 3-4 weeks (depending on the complexity of the design) + shipping time. It can also be less than that but we encourage not to order last minute. Sometimes we do carry ready made stock so please enquire if you need the product quicker.

What are the differences between different gold karats?

Gold karat marking refers to the percentage of pure gold in the mass. The more pure gold there is in the mass, the purer the metal. For sensitive skin we recommend minimum of 14K for yellow gold and 18K for rose and white gold.

Do you work with bigger diamonds/sapphires/rubies/emeralds?
Yes, we do. These are usually custom made pieces only and are not available at our online store. Please contact us for a quote or more information. All diamonds over 0.50ct have GIA certificates available.

How to know if the size is right?
Your wedding ring needs to feel comfortable. Don't measure the size depending on how hard it goes over the knuckle of your ringer. Make sure that once the ring is on, that it feels comfortable - not too tight, not too loose. Your ring size will also vary depending on the seasons. Bigger during summer time and smaller during winter.

What is the most popular width for mens wedding rings?
5mm wide. It is a good balance between wide and still very comfortable.
