Originally from Estonia, Eliise moved to Australia in 2013, bringing with her a lifelong love of art, design, and storytelling. While working full-time as a retail manager, she began creating jewellery at home in 2015 — a one-woman studio with a single workbench tucked into the corner of her apartment.

In those early years, Eliise handcrafted every piece herself. Her background in Graphic Design soon became an integral part of the brand, as she built and designed everything from the website to the photography and visual direction. This hands-on creative approach remains at the heart of Eliise Maar Fine Jewellery today, where each design and image tells a story of craftsmanship and emotion.

Before turning to fine jewellery, Eliise was a fine artist, experimenting with surrealist and abstract paintings and sculptures. This artistic foundation continues to influence her jewellery designs — where form, texture, and balance come together in unexpected harmony.

Eliise describes her design philosophy as the meeting point between minimalism and organised mess — the idea that a touch of natural chaos brings life and character to a piece. For her, perfection is never the goal; authenticity and creativity are. The result is jewellery that is refined and timeless, yet expressive and full of soul.

In 2024, Eliise Maar Fine Jewellery was recognised as one of the top independent jewellery brands in Australia — a milestone that reflects years of organic growth, artistry, and a deep connection with clients.
